Description
This is the parking sensor that tells your car when it is close to a wall or another vehicle. It sends out ultrasonic pulses and reads the echo to work out distance — the same principle as sonar. When one fails you usually get one of three symptoms: the system beeps at nothing, goes silent when it should not, or throws a fault code to the dashboard. Part number 968912S000.
