Description
The rear crankshaft oil seal stops oil escaping where the crankshaft exits the back of the block. When it hardens or splits, the leak shows up between the engine and gearbox — a few drops on the driveway, or a wet bellhousing if it's been left. This is the genuine Kia seal, part number 214432U000, so the lip geometry and compound match the original. It's a gearbox-out job on most cars, so worth doing the clutch while you're in there.
