The PCV valve vents crankcase gases back into the intake to burn off — when it sticks open you get rough idle and oil in the breather; stuck shut and the dipstick pops out under pressure. This is the genuine Kia unit, part number 267402M000, for the Sportage from 2022 on. It threads into the rocker cover with the original seal and clip.
