Description
The EGR valve recirculates exhaust gas back into the intake to lower combustion temperature and reduce NOx emissions. When it sticks open you get rough idle and heavy smoke; stuck closed and the engine light comes on with an EGR flow fault code. This is the genuine Kia unit, part number 2841027410, for the Sportage 2.0 diesel from 2005 to 2010. It bolts to the original mount with the factory gasket position — no adaptation needed.
